My first job, after graduating from RISD with a degree in painting, was working for Betty Parsons in her gallery on 57th Street in NYC. I met many great artists including one of my idols, Saul Steinberg, who teasingly chased me like a cat chasing a bird, in circles around my desk. The picture you see on the left was taken a few years later when I was working in the “bull pen” of an advertising agency. I got my first break painting a mural and window pieces for Fiorucci, the Italian clothing store on 59th Street and I’ve been drawing and painting ever since.
If you like what you see, please let me know, I’d love to hear from you!
